High Precision Spindle Bearings

Advantages
&
Features

The performance of precision spindle bearings mainly includes several aspects, as follows:

High precision: The precision grade of precision spindle bearings is usually required to reach P4 or higher, and in some cases, P2 grade is even needed.

This high-precision requirement ensures strict control of parameters such as the width tolerance, roundness, perpendicularity, taper, and radial runout of the shaft of the inner and outer rings of the bearing

For instance, the rotational accuracy of P4 grade bearings is less than 5um, making them suitable for ultra-precision instruments with high speed or extremely high precision.

Low friction and low temperature rise: To reduce energy loss and prevent precision decline caused by thermal expansion, the coefficient of friction of precision spindle bearings must be controlled within a relatively low range.

In addition, the bearings need to have good heat dissipation performance to prevent excessive temperature caused by long-term high-speed operation.

High strength and wear resistance: Precision spindle bearings are typically made of high-strength and high-wear-resistant materials such as high-carbon chromium bearing steel to ensure accuracy under high loads and long-term operation.

The internal cage is also made of lightweight and high-strength materials, such as phenolic resin, to ensure the stability of the bearing under high-speed rotation.
