Four-point contact ball bearing is a kind of separable bearing, which can be described as a set of angular contact ball bearings capable of withstanding bidirectional axial loads. 

The outer raceways have a peach-shaped cross-section. When subjected to load or pure radial action, the steel balls and the raceways present four-point contact, which is also the origin of this name.

The advantage of four-point contact ball bearing is that when a single set of bearings is subjected to bidirectional axial loads, a smaller installation space can be obtained.
